1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website, lessons, rentals, and product purchases provided by Shamisen in Finland, operated by Lukuluku Oy.

By accessing or using our services, you agree to these Terms. If you are acting on behalf of a business or another individual, you confirm that you are authorized to do so.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to register for lessons or make purchases.

Minors under 16 may participate only with parental or guardian consent.

3. Services & Enrollment

Lesson schedules and locations are confirmed individually after registration.
Lessons may take place in person or online, depending on the student’s preference and the teacher’s availability.
We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel lessons due to unforeseen circumstances (such as illness or venue changes). In such cases, an alternative time or refund will be offered.

4. Payment & Pricing

All fees are payable in advance via the payment methods supported by Wix Payments.
Prices are listed in Euros (€) and may include applicable taxes.
Customers may also choose to complete their purchase in person after viewing the instrument, directly with the instructor.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order considered high risk or incomplete.

5. Rentals & Rent-to-Own

Rental instruments remain the property of Lukuluku Oy until full ownership is transferred under a rent-to-own agreement.
Rent is billed monthly in advance.
Renters are responsible for keeping the instrument in good condition and returning it if the rental is discontinued.
If the instrument is damaged due to misuse, repair or replacement costs may apply.
Customers who choose to switch from rental to purchase after the first month can apply previously paid rent toward the total price.

6. Product Sales & Return

Product details, prices, and availability are listed on our website.
Orders are confirmed via email and shipped to the address provided by the customer.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery details.
You may return unused items in their original condition within 14 days of delivery for a refund or exchange.
In-person purchases can be arranged by appointment with the instructor.

7. Cancellations & Refunds

Lesson cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled time to avoid charges.
Missed lessons without notice are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled.
For rentals and product sales, refunds depend on the item’s condition, timing, and notification period. Please contact us for case-specific details.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on this website—including text, images, designs, and logos—is owned or licensed by Shamisen in Finland.

Content may not be reproduced or used for commercial purposes without written permission.

9. Warranty & Limitation of Liability

All services and products are provided “as is.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or error-free operation.
We are not responsible for indirect or consequential damages.
Our total liability under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to us during the month in which the issue occurred.
