About the Course
A small group class (2â3 students), ideal for beginners.
In this course, students will learn the fundamental elements of Tsugaru Shamisen playing, including proper posture, how to hold the instrument and the bachi (pick), basic instrument setup, and introductory sheet music reading.
Through learning in a group setting, students can build a solid foundation while sharing the joy of music together.
Your Instructor
Zuiko
Zuiko is a Tsugaru Shamisen performer from Taiwan with over ten years of experience in performing and teaching.
Currently based in Finland and studying at the Sibelius Academyâs Global Music program, he is passionate about sharing the shamisen through lessons, concerts, and community projects, bringing this unique Japanese instrument to new audiences.
